Recently I had to take 2 weeks off from work and it giving me the time to think alot more and look into things i haven’t done in a while. I realised that sometimes we get so caught up with the day to day deadlines, we forget to spend some time –
- learning something new about an area you are interested in
- investing the time to network of persons who share similar passions to those that you have. (One conversation across a table with a wise man is worth a month’s study of books. Chinese Proverb)
Its amazing how in the heat of the moment these 2 tasks seem the rank at lowest priority although they can be so powerful. We should budget out time to allow for these 2 things to happen on a daily basis. Its important to keep the fire burning and extremely important if you want to take what you are doing to the next level.
Read, Network and Act to take yourself to the next level of thinking. If you are thinking like a novice today, try to think like a beginner, then like an intermediate player, then to advanced and the like an expert.
Don’t too bogged down and stuck thinking like an intermediate player the rest of your life.
