Its easy to get caught up in the vision you have in your head. To get caught up with the progress you are making towards that vision. In some cases you might get so caught up with the progress, that the vision might become a bit blurry. When was that last time that anyone on your team mentioned anything relating to the vision? That long right? Recently I have found myself thinking alot about something that John C. Maxwell always says. Leadership is about communication and if there were a single, all purpose tool for leadership it is communication. Its really reminding me how important it is to be on the same wavelength as those around you and in your community. Make sure to engage your team and your neighbours and talk about the vision. Find out how things might have changed since you last spoke about where you were going. Consistent communication is vital to accomplishing the vision. Its always important that everyone on the team understands exactly where you are going. Its takes several million tiny decisions by everyone involved to transform a vision into a reality. When any of these tiny decisions start to vere off path, its like a crack in a dam, its continues. All the potential energy stored up will die. Constant attention and a common vision are needed to keep that potential energy stored up and changing it into useable energy over time. The day is still young! Communicate share the vision and connect with your team and things will run alot smoother. Corey Graham 2.0 www.coreykgraham.me
