If you don't have a bio as yet yourself I suggest you get to work now. Its always good to put yourself out there so that you can attract like minded people.

Anyways I am sharing it first with you my readers, before anyone gets to see it.  Let me know what you think see it below!

BIO

My deepest passion is to assist in building up the Caribbean Community and I plan to do this by making use of my skills in marketing, social media and business. Professionally, I have worked with Alt Entertainment Inc. and BoomTribe assisting them in their quest to develop a Caribbean Music Industry by producing compelling Caribbean entertainment content for TV, Radio and the web. I have held the positions of Digital Content Manager, Community Manager and Content Marketing Manager over the 3 years I have spend with them. Essentially, I was responsible for getting all of Alt Entertainment's produced content, onto its online platform, BoomTribe.com, share it with the BoomTribe community and market it to the rest of the world. Over my time at BoomTribe I filled roles of marketer, photographer, writer, video editor, video producer, video & TV host and more when need arose. I was pivotal in developing the new BoomTribe.com which was launched in Jun 2009, and was greeted with open arms by the public. It was designed to make it easy for Alt Entertainment to share its content and also highlight all of BoomTribe's brands and products.

As a blogger & writer I write 3 blogs and I produce a podcast –  Biz Blog, Entertainment Blog , Sayings Blog and the Corey Graham 2.0 Podcast which you can all find at www.CoreyKGraham.Me. My Biz Blog which is my flagship blog has been read by some of the influential persons in the Caribbean and on my podcast I have featured the interviews with influential persons including the Peter Gould, VP of Sales at RIM, Phil Philips and more. I also contribute to a few blogs including Nurse Karen's Soca Blog, Silicon Caribe, The Bloom Effect and more. My exploits as a blogger and writer covers primarily Business and Entertainment and span topics like Innovation, Leadership, Productivity, Social Media, Technology, Music Business and Music news. My primary driving force for being a writer is to provoke thinking among Caribbean people and share important "niche market" news with them.

I also getting started providing formal online marketing and Web 2.0 consulting services to Caribbean businesses and professionals.

There are a few personal initiatives I have going which are BajanBasketball.com, Checker Hall Braves Basketball Team Website , CaribbeanEntertainmentSearch.com, Caribbean Entertainment Professional Network On LinkedIn, The Soca Now Movement and more. My motives for these projects in particular come out of my belief that entertainment and sports are very important elements in developing the Caribbean Community. I also readily assist new Caribbean bloggers in getting their blogs up and running.

I might appear to have several talents and skills, however if you dig a little deeper you will realize its my creativity that allows me to do alot of what I do. Inspired ideas come to me quite often. Those around me expect me to call them, out the blue, to get their feedback on some new idea I have. My ability to make relationships between seemingly unrelated topics produces these ideas that might solve a problem, reveal a new opportunity or share a new perspective. On those dark and gloomy days, I put my creative gifts to good use in searching for that new perspective which makes the day seem brighter, or I find ways to create win-win situations for the people involved in the situation. I try to always remain positive and motivate those around me.  This creativity has been one of those things that has been a constant in life and I always bring it to the table. I enjoy teamwork and developing on ideas with others to make them even better ideas. It is a sheer thrill to work on a project with other passionate and creative people. As the team leader or a team member I am able to totally enjoy the team experience.

I have accepted that I am a thinker. I enjoy thinking about just about anything. My curiosity and quest to understand and experience the world around me makes me a huge fan of science & technology and gives me that child-like enthusiasm to truly enjoy life.

You will find below a listing of my various talents, skills, resources and accomplishments.

BlackBerry Storm Launch In Barbados & Interview With Peter Gould(VP Of RIM)

Anyone who has been following this blog would know that I am a big fan of BlackBerry.  I purchased my first BlackBerry 4 years ago and I have never looked back since then. The BlackBerry Device has really enhanced my life by helping me to make better use of time on the road and away from my desk.  I can keep up to date reading articles and blog posts, communicate with persons via email and IM, make notes of my new ideas, review & enhance old ideas and more.

There is a saying that states – you will be same from year to year, dependent on the books that you read and the people that you interact with.

Now for me time spent waiting in line at the bank or waiting on delayed flights are now far more productive. Alrite here is an interesting fact to prove this – believe it or not, more than 70 % of my blogs were written on my BlackBerry and about 40 % of them are posted directly from the BlackBerry to my blog! And imagine that I am known primarily as a blogger. My BlackBerry has become a critical blogging tool because whenever the inspiration hits I write and share it with you.

It is not just about the device but the company in the last few years have been able to consistently grow and dominate the market worldwide, you got to respect that.

Now you can imagine how very grateful I was to be invited to the Official Launch of the BlackBberry Storm in Barbados. I was glad to be able to get the information directly from RIM Representatives and being able to ask them questions myself. I love Google and all, but somehow I rather be at the press conference. Oh and I am not going to pretend. I have never been the launch or press conference of any kind of technology before, no conference or trade show under my belt and I am hoping this would be the first of many more.

I was impressed with how organized it the conference was, and the very nice treatment I received, there were more than enough representatives to answer the questions I had or to point me in the direction to get them answered.

At the end of the conference I was presented with all the info in hard copy and on a 4 GB jump drive. No, no, the information from the conference did not take up 4 GB of space.  The drive was essentially a gift! I definitely appreciated this after having a buffet lunch and really hit the spot.

Peter Gould – VP of sales for the Caribbean and Latin America did well with his presentation and answered all questions, at least the ones he was allowed to answer. lol. He knew his stuff, with 10 years at RIM, having had different positions in the company and seeing the evolution of the company he was fit for the job.

Here are some of the cool facts he shared with us -

RIM’s BlackBerry Infrastructure routes over three Petabytes (that’s 3,000,000,000,000,000 bytes) of traffic each month.

In 2009, RIM is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the BlackBerry solution.

Founded in 1984, Research In Motion (RIM) is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market.

BlackBerry®: launched in 1999, currently is available on over 475 carriers and channels in 160 countries around the world.

Subscriber base at end of FY’09: approx. 25 million users

RIM has shipped over 50 million BlackBerry smartphones in total. 26 million of them only in FY 09 (ended Feb 28/09).

Now BlackBerry Storm Devices were in abundance to toy around with throughout the conference. I thoroughly enjoyed this! I took the opportunity to hold on to one and check out the different features. Now to top it all off, I was given a little black box to take home after my name was pulled from the draw. Yes people. My own Storm!

Here is my interview with Peter Gould – VP of Sales for the Caribbean and Latin America at RIM, for BoomTribe.com

Hope you enjoy it!
