My father did a two-week cruise of the Caribbean when he graduated teacher's college in the 60's. (It wasn't a luxury liner...but he got to see the region for himself. Few of us ever do. There is alot being packed into cruises in terms of entertainment, all kinds of foods etc. Maybe the cost of the actual cruise. I was thinking that costs might be greatly reduced by taking away alot of the on board luxuries. Since the luxury is now on shore. In terms of students affording it...Its not so much of a fad in Caribbean Universities but in North America and esp. Europe. there are alot of trips planned during the vacations and the students raise money to take the trips. yeah, that was something i was thinking about and talking.
